THE VINEYARD
Five generations of feet
in the vineyards.
The estate is located in Gervans , a small village north of Tain l'Hermitage, in the heart of the historic Crozes-Hermitage known as "northern" of the appellation. This part of the Crozes-Hermitage appellation where we find granite and pretty steep hillsides.
Today, the estate is made up of 16.63 ha of vines distributed as follows:
- CROZES-HERMITAGE RED : 12.50 ha
- CROZES-HERMITAGE BLANC : 2.50 ha
- SAINT-JOSEPH ROUGE : 1.16 ha
- WHITE HERMITAGE : 0.47 ha
Exceptional terroirs within prestigious appellations making up the Côtes du Rhône Nord.
TERROIRS
CROZES-HERMITAGE
A quarter of the plots are located in the south of the appellation, composed of thick layers of rolled pebbles from different glacial periods (riss and würm) mixed with red clay. The remaining plots are spread across the communes of Gervans, Crozes-Hermitage and Erôme. on granite soils also covered with loess. And presence of clay in our plain.

ORGANIC & BIODYNAMIC
Despite its steep hillsides, Laurent decided in 2008 to convert the entire vineyard to organic farming. A successful challenge which is now complemented by the implementation of some biodynamic actions such as spraying and compost.
A few agroforestry trials and a reflection on possible adaptations to climate change will perhaps make it possible to mitigate the consequences in a few years.

WINES
Three appellations of excellence
and elegance
From exceptional terroirs and advanced ages of the vines, the estate will be able to draw on the best to offer you 4 types of vintages:
- Crozes-Hermitage red (main production) offered as a “grand classic” cuvée and as a “tête de cuvée” for certain vintages,
- Crozes-Hermitage white,
- White Hermitage,
- Saint Joseph red.
The harvest is entirely done by hand. The vinifications are gentle and traditional. Few inputs are used to allow the terroirs and grape varieties to express themselves freely and fully.
For 10 years, red wines have been vinified without added sulphites while keeping the primary objective of offering clean wines, without deviation and with the best stability.
The Hermitage and the Saint-Joseph are aged in barrels of 0 to 4 wines.
The white Crozes-Hermitage only spend the winter in stainless steel vats.
The Crozes-Hermitage reds are also aged in stainless steel or concrete vats. However, a small part rests inside quality oak barrels.
You can find all the wines of Domaine Laurent Habrard in the online store of this website. All the wines from a small producer, from a small winegrower from the Côtes du Rhône Nordentrionales with a simple click!

THE TEAM
Because not everything comes from the winegrower.
When we talk about an estate, it is very often the winegrower who is highlighted.
That's good but that's not all. Because a wine is the work of an entire team united.
It is this entire team that we present to you here and whom we thank for their presence and their dedication to the smooth running of the estate.
